Continued advancements in technologies are quickly changing the way we interact, func-tion, and operate within the community mental health center system. Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) must prepare for changing technology to respond effectively and efficiently while improving access to care. At the same time, CMHCs must identify oppor-tunities and trends in technology to position our provider system as one prepared for coor-dinated care and quality or value-based reimbursement models. This conference will focus on various technologies being utilized in CMHCs to enhance our workforce, improve con-sumer access to care, improve data sharing, improve organizational work flows, and en-hance the utilization of telehealth and telemedicine services. Hear from industry leaders in technology who will describe opportunities to improve your organization. In addition, the Indiana Council is a recent recipient of a SAMHSA technology-based grant in partnership with the University of Wisconsin’s Great Lakes Technology Transfer Center. Learn more about this grant and how CMHCs will be positioned for training and support utilizing tech-nology-based services. We will also hear directly from CMHCs who have developed best-practices in telehealth services to improve access to care for areas such as intake assess-ments, school-based services, and mid-level therapy services. The degree of success of the CMHC system is largely dependent on our ability to adapt to changing technologies. Attend this session to better understand how technology is modifying the face of the CMHC system and how your organization will be positioned to enhance the level and effec-tiveness of services being provided to the consumers we serve.
